About the Role
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join our Development Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the creation of custom WordPress themes and plugins. You will work closely with our UI/UX designers to translate designs into responsive, high-performance websites while ensuring security, scalable architecture, and a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage new features and functionality for WordPress websites.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or customize existing ones.
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and availability, managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive web pages.
- Formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme and plugin.
- Conduct website performance tests, troubleshoot bugs, and resolve rendering issues across different browsers.
- Implement website security measures, regular backups, and seamless core/plugin updates.
- Optimize websites for SEO, load speed, and Core Web Vitals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in WordPress development (both front-end and back-end).
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Advanced knowledge of PHP and MySQL database architecture.
- Experience building responsive, mobile-first user interfaces.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and secure SDLC processes.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
